Daniel McGuire, Jr., 6^th child of Daniel McGuire, Sr. and Isabelle McCormick, was born 10 Jul 1858 in Blairsville?, Indiana Co, Pennsylvania, died 15 Jul 1909 in Pearl Twp, Sully Co, South Dakota of blood poisoning or throat infection, buried 17 Jul 1909 Okobojo Cem.  Gravestone reads, “Gone but not forgotten.  Daniel born July 10, 1858, died July 15, 1909 McGUIRE”.  Small markers for Father and Mother.   

Married in 1885 in Clifton, Sully Co, South Dakota to Matilda S. ‘Til’ Houston.

One Daniel McGuire homesteaded 26 Apr 1893 in Hamlin Co, South Dakota.  Daniel McGuire, [Jr?]. had a timber claim 19 Jun 1895 in Sully Co, South Dakota.  Daniel McGuire, Jr. was chairman of the board of trustees of the Methodist Church in Okobojo and president of the burying ground in Okobojo.  In 1902 he was elected Supervisor in Sully Co.  In 1914 his widow Til sold the farm and moved to Onida.
