Pierre S D July 12,1898 Well Boys I will write a gain we received your letter and Pictures last sunday was glad to here that you was all well and to get the Picture we think they are fine I guess. I will start a Picture Salary so you may send on all you want I spend hours sitting and looking tat them Well the Weather is verry warm and it just about gets away with me it is perfectly digusting I think Well your Pa has Just Started out on Sheriff Buisiness he Is quite a buisy Man now. Well Charlie I hope you wont have such luck as Sr Klegg had he and Shorty are Still haveing trouble, there was a fellow here just now wanted to sell a war cry I dont know what they want to be running around in the hot sun for I have not ben to the Army Since you left they dont have any church at the Bap[?] church now they had a union meeting last Sunday after noon at the Methodist church in west Pierre, well i guess they are going to put up a Mill here in Pierre now they are at work on it and say it is a sure go I hope it is things look pretty well since the rain our trees have grown and look nice and we have some nice glowers but the wind has blew so much it has spoiled things a goodeal Well I have not heard from okobojo since the 4th so I don't know what they done nor who was a head Hugh Went up in the evening but I have not saw him since and dont know when I will he is so full of buisiness do you ever here from him, well we have had some great victorys I do with the war over I don't like to here of so much suffering I hope you boys will keep well Wee are well and all the friends so far as I know I will quit for this time hopeing the here from you soon Your Ma S.
