OKOBOJO

There's an old dance hall at the foot of the hill
Where people go for a lot of thrills.
They gather in from near and far
To the strummin’ tunes of the steel guitar.
It's the best dance hall in all the land,
With it's hardwood floor and a cowboy band.
A fiddle guitar and an old banjo,
And they dance all night at Okobojo.

When the moon heard that steel guitar,
He made a date with his favorite star.
And when he heard the fiddle play,
He danced along the milky way.
The moon got full and the stars were high,
And they danced a square dance in the sky.
The fiddle sang to the old banjo,
And the tune they played was "OKOBOJO."
