I'M SENDING BACK YOUR PICTURE

I'm sending back your picture and the letters tied in blue
For at last I've caught you cheating And I'm glad that we are through.
I'm tired of your two timing and I'm fed up on your lies
I won't play second fiddle to a couple other guys.
There was a time I really hoped We 'd never drift apart.
But another has first mortgage to Your cruel indifferent heart.
So I'm sending back your picture In it's little golden frame.
'Cause I want to have clear title To the girl that bears my name.
I'm sending back the locket and the other souvenirs
I'll enclose them with the picture In a package sealed with tears.
And I'll try hard to forget you When I mail them back to you.
Gone I hope are all the memories With those letters tied in blue,
But if those memories linger And my lonesome heart entwine,
like a bouquet made of cactus Or some poison ivy vine.
I will always think I'm lucky That I found you out in time.
