THE HEART ATTACK
It seems to me 'most every day,
Some friend I knew was laid away.
Or lies in bed flat on his back,
Because he had a heart attack.
If people would when they feel tough,
Admit that they had had enough.
Then to the Dr, they would go,
And tell to him their tale of woe.
He'd clean their gizzards, lungs and pipes,
He's paid to listen to their gripes.
It wouldn't hurt you that's for sure,
Preventions better far than cure.
So if your fingers start to numb,
Your am feels like it weighs a ton.
And pains shoot through your chest and back,
It's symptoms of a heart attack.
So if my friend when pains first start,
You'd have a Dr. check your heart.
He'd gladly find out all the dope,
With E.K.G. and stethoscope.
If you do this it won't be long,
Until again you're well and strong.
Then for your checkups hurry back,
Let's try to beat the heart attack.
So all of us while still alive,
Let's get behind the heart fund drive.
We'll never find a bettor time,
To spare a quarter and a dime.
Let's furnish research lots of "jack",
To fight and beat the heart attack.
