#8
CLASS REUNION
The classes that we would revive,
From twenty-one through twenty-five.
Will gather in from far and near,
To meet once more in good "Old Pierre".
We'll reminisce on days gone by,
And things we did here at Pierre Hi.
The boys and girls fat, lean or lank,
The model T we had to crank.
The soda pop and silent show,
Before T. V. and radio.
How old folks wept in deep despair,
When girls first started cutting hair.
And teachers made them hit the breeze,
For showing too much of their knees.
We 're bound to see the awful change,
That's come across our same old range.
And let's not leave it to the pen,
We'll wait and talk it over then.
When everyone to come is here,
We'll thresh it out in good "Old Pierre."
THE REUNION'S OVER
Our reunion is over, believe it or not,
Most of us are thinking of things we forgot;
As picnics and parties and gatherings like this;
Is the time and the place for a good reminisce.
The classmates who left us to wander and roam,
Still gotta thrill when their steps turn toward home.
No matter how far or how long they've been gone;
The community that greets them are the ones that stayed on.
Like Francis and Helen, Curtis and Jack,
Charlie and Bill to welcome them back.
The reunion is over and so is this rhyme,
"Thank You Everyone For A Wonderful Time."
